I’m a Quad-Cities girl. I grew up in Rock Island and graduated from Augustana College, with honors, with a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in Economics. After graduation, I re-located to the Chicagoland area where I went to work for a large bank. I later moved to the San Francisco Bay area where I worked for a nationwide financial firm.
I moved my family back to the Quad-Cities in the early 1990s to raise my children and returned to work at Blackhawk Bank & Trust where I had worked summers and school breaks as both a high school and college student.
In 2005, I earned my Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and started the Wealth Management Division at Blackhawk Bank where I served as a financial advisor and Manager of the Trust and Investment Departments. 2006 was the year I finished my masters degree at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin/Madison where I was Valedictorian and President of my class.
In May 2017, I started Huiskamp Collins Investments, LLC. In July of 2021, after over 16 years of providing college planning to my investment clients, I earned my Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS) credential from the National Institute of Certified College Planners (NICCP) and opened Huiskamp Collins Educational Planning Services, LLC. I am the only financial advisor within the region with this advanced designation and am thrilled to offer a new, one-of-a-kind financial service firm to serve college-bound families.
I am passionate about education and truly care about the needs of your family. I would be humbled and honored to serve you.
